Cushing’s 101

So, my symptoms started around 2011 and gradually became worse and worse.. Every Cushie is different and not all have the same symptoms. Unfortunately, I was one of the few that seemed to have EVERY SINGLE ONE.

No matter what some might say, Cushing’s CANNOT be ‘controlled’ by diet, exercise or non medical intervention. If the Cushing’s is caused by a pituitary, adrenal or ectopic tumour, it requires medical attention by a trained endocrinologist.

Symptoms do vary; they may be generalised, muscular, psychological, reproductive and also can affect your skin and bones.

As stated before, I am NOT a Doctor, so I cannot give medical advice BUT I can let you know the symptoms that I had and would note that if you have some or all of them, to seek medical help.

I’m no longer embarrassed when it comes to talking about the symptoms I had, I urge anyone that is suffering as I did, to shout about it, we need our voices to be heard and awareness MUST be raised.
